In what is undoubtedly one of the most memorable One-Day International (ODI) knocks, Australia's Glenn Maxwell's historic 201* against Afghanistan in Mumbai last evening has been etched in the annals of cricketing history.

Maxwell dished out an unbeaten 201* off just 128 balls, which included 21 fours and ten sixes, where the batter battled with cramps and back spasms to pull Australia out of a ditch and ensure his nation qualifies for the semi-finals of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Several former cricketers have hailed Maxwell's knock labelling the innings as one of the greatest ever. Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, who during his playing has played many such whirlwind innings, acknowledged the prowess of Maxwell.

Speaking on Geo News' show Haarna Mana Hai, Razzak stated that the Australian all-rounder's innings was better than the former knock against South Africa in an ODI in 2010, under similar circumstances.

Chasing 287, in second ODI at Abu Dhabi, Razzaq struck a mesmerising 109 not out off just 72 balls, helping Pakistan edge past the finish line on the penultimate delivery of the match.

Here's what Razzaq Said

'I accept that the innings Glenn Maxwell played was better than the one I played against South Africa in Abu Dhabi in 2010.'

Razzaq's knock included seven fours and 10 massive sixes, all while batting with the tail, which crumbled like a brittle cake. Maxwell had cramps during his marathon innings, but the Aussie all-rounder kept hitting everything and eventually played one of the greatest ODI innings of all-time.
