Hardik Pandya played a significant role in India's victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. After the victory, Krunal Pandya wrote an emotional note for his brother Hardik Pandya, who faced endless criticism over the past few months. 

He also stated that Hardik Pandya played his best and made a commendable comeback and in the last few months he faced several backlash and said that people forgot that he is just a "human being with emotions".

Krunal Pandya also talks about Hardik Pandya's struggles that he has faced in the last few months, where he has been booed and jeered by the crowd after he was replaced by Rohit Sharma as the skipper of MI for Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024). 

“The last six months have been the toughest for Hardik. He simply didn’t deserve what he went through, and as a brother, I felt very, very bad for him. From booing, to people saying all kinds of nasty things, at the end of the day, we all forgot that he is just a human being who also has emotions.



Hardik Pandya's Performance In T20 World Cup

Hardik Pandya played a commendable role as an all-rounder in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. In the tournament with the bat, he scored 144 runs from 6 innings with an average of 48 and a strike rate of 151.57 with one half-century to his name. 

The right-arm bowler scalped 11 wickets from 8 innings at an average of 17.36 with an economy of 7.64. Hardik Pandya had saved his best for the final match against South Africa, where he scalped 3/20 in three overs that included the wickets of Heinrich Klaasen (52 off 27) and David Miller(21 off 17).
