The Netherlands Cricket Team stunned the cricketing fraternity during the World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe earlier this year when they rattled the likes of Scotland and West Indies to book a well-deserved spot in the 2023 ODI World Cup. After having qualified for the global marquee event, the Dutch are slated to take on Pakistan in their maiden World Cup match on October 6.

Currently, the preparations in the Dutch camp are underway in full swing as Scott Edwards and his men gear up for their toughest challenge. One of the toughest oppositions that they will most likely stumble upon is the Men In Blue who are equipped with some powerful batting giants like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Rohit Sharma in their lineup.

However, in an exclusive interview with CricTracker, Netherlands all-rounder Logan van Beek states that his side is ready for the challenge and have worked out a plan to get rid of the in-form Virat Kohli. Besides, the 33-year-old revealed that he would need just five balls to get the star India batter out.

“When I’m going to bowl to Virat Kohli, I’m going to bowl outswingers on my first two balls. After that, I’m going to bowl a slower ball, off-cutter slower ball, he’s going to hit me for a four. I’m going to walk back and pretend to be annoyed and will stop the game for about five minutes. Ball number four I will bowl a nice half volley and he will hit me four a four. The crowd will go wild, he puffs his chest up, and he thinks he’s the greatest of all time which he probably is. But now I’ve got him exactly where I want him. I get to the mark and pray to the cricketing gods and say I will do anything for you in this moment but please let me get Virat Kohli out right now. The next ball I come running in with my eyes closed and bowl and he’s out.”

While Logan may be a very skilled operator with the ball, he will need a lot more than just a bare amount of optimism to send the chase master packing. India and Netherlands are expected to lock horns at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on November 12th. However, following Logan's interaction with CricTracker, it becomes clear that the battle between Logan and Virat will be an intriguing battle to watch out for.
