India's star spinner R Ashwin has revealed his favourite moment from India's recent triumph at the T20 World Cup 2024. 

It was an emotional win for the Men in Blue as they lifted an ICC title after an 11-year wait. While, Ashwin was not a part of the squad that won the title, he himself has two ICC trophies. 

Ashwin, appearing on his YouTube channel, namedropped his favourite moment and remarked that when Virat Kohli handed over the trophy to Rahul Dravid, that moment touched him. 

"My moment was when Virat Kohli called Rahul Dravid and gave him the cup. I saw him hug the cup and cry. Rahul Dravid screamed and cried. I saw him enjoy it. I felt that a lot. I want to talk about a person who is scared. In 2007, during the 50-over World Cup, India got knocked out. Rahul Dravid was the captain at that time. He didn't captain the one-day side after that. He has been with the Indian team. If something doesn't go well if the Indian team goes out or loses a match, immediately, they ask what Rahul Dravid is doing," Ashwin said on his YouTube channel.

It was an emotional moment for Rahul Dravid, as it was his last assignment with India as their head coach. Also, he missed out on lifting a trophy during 2023 World Cup where the Men in Blue lost in the finals. Gautam Gambhir was named India's head coach after Dravid's tenure ended.
