The comeback of Hardik Pandya to the Mumbai Indians has emerged as the top story of this IPL season. Without a doubt, this transfer is the most noteworthy in IPL history.

Having taken up the captaincy, Pandya has been observed participating in bowling drills during practice sessions in recent days. Today, Mumbai Indians shared a new video highlighting Pandya's rigorous training at the Mumbai camp nets, focusing on his batting prowess.

The question of what the Mumbai Indians missed the most—Hardik as a batter or as an all-rounder—is undoubtedly one of the trickiest in cricket.

During MI's last two IPL title victories, Hardik Pandya scarcely bowled any overs. But since his departure to Gujarat, Mumbai has failed to clinch another title.

Anyway, Hardik is determined to leave no stone unturned upon his return as the skipper. Mumbai can count on his bowling prowess, while his batting will undoubtedly be a key asset for the team. Hardik can be seen putting in the hard yards at Mumbai's practice nets.

Here's a look at the video of Hardik practicing, released by Mumbai Indians on their social media platforms.

Mumbai Indians boast one of the most formidable batting line-ups in the IPL, characterised by a strong Indian core. This strength allows them to include three foreign bowlers alongside Jasprit Bumrah in their lineup.

With Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan as openers and Surya Kumar Yadav at number 3, the biggest question arises regarding Hardik Pandya's batting position.

While Hardik mostly batted at number 4 for Gujarat, in his initial stint with Mumbai, he often came in at 5 or 6. Mumbai also has Tilak Varma, who usually bats at 4, and Tim David, a regular at 6.

Hence, it's up to the team's analytics to determine whether Hardik should bat in the top 4 or be kept for the middle to end overs, where he previously showcased his batting prowess for Mumbai.
