The 55th match of Indian Premier League 2024 between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to an interesting start even before cricket began at Wankhede.

During the toss, Pat Cummins the skipper of visiting team Sunrisers Hyderabad came up with an indirect reference to his famous 'silent the crowd' statement in the World Cup 2023 final.

Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first and Pat Cummins after talking about the change in their squad and the conditions at Wankhede, said that there is lot of blue in the stands and it is going to be noisy.

"Mayank Agarwal returns. He'll bat at No. 3. Dew's going to be a factor. But we have been batting well. We have got four games left. Need to win at least two to make it to top-4. Wankhede's always been a nice ground. Too much blue in the stands, it's going to be noisy."

Mumbai Indians' colour is blue and so is of the Indian team who are referred to as 'Men in Blue' and with Cummins talking about noise, it clearly seems that he is once again itching to silent the home crowd as he did on 19th of November in the all-important World Cup 2023 final.
