Andre Russell is a genuine match-winner and he is proving that once again in IPL 2024. He is a beast with the bat and with the ball, he has a magical knack of picking up big wicket or breaking big partnerships, making him a massive asset for KKR.

In the 54th match of IPL 2024 between Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders, he failed with the bat but came up with two deadly blows with the ball.

He first picked the wicket of Stoinis who was batting well and then got the better of Nicholas Pooran with a sharp short delivery in the 12th over. It was the second delivery of the over and Russell bowled it short on the off-stump line. Pooran tried to pull it, but got an outside edge that was brilliantly taken by Phil Salt behind the stumps.

The English wicketkeeper timed his jump brilliantly and put LSG in a deep hole in their massive run-chase of 235.

LSG were eventually bunded out for just 137 and Kolkata Knight Riders registered a thumping 98-run win. The win took them at the top of the table and now have 16 points on the table.
