Ex-India batting coach, Vikram Rathour has heaped praise on Rohit Sharma's leadership, stating that he is always on point with his game-plan.

Speaking on a podcast, Rathour mentioned that Rohit might forget his phone or iPad, but is always on point with his tactics during the game.

Rohit's tactical game-plan is always on point: Huge praise from Ex-coach

Rathours's comments come in the backdrop of Rohit's habit of forgetting important stuffs like passport and phone. It also includes the decision at the toss, team selection and other key things.

"Rohit Sharma might forget whether he's decided to bat or bowl at toss, or his phone and iPad in the team bus, but he never forgets his gameplan. He's very good at it and is a very shrewd tactician."

Rathour further talked about Rohit as a person and called him a players' captain, who is always invested in team meetings and strategies.

“He is a player’s captain. He is invested with the players. I have never seen a captain, who is so invested in team meetings and strategies,” added Rathour.

After winning the T20 World Cup, Rohit took a month-long break before returning for the Sri Lanka ODI series, which India lost 1-2. The skipper scored back-to-back fifties and was the best batter of his side.

He will next be seen in action against Bangladesh in a two-match Test series.
