The Champions Trophy 2025 is finally underway with hosts and defending champions Pakistan going up against in-form New Zealand. The Kiwis recently beat Pakistan twice in the tri-series and would be hoping to upset the home team in the curtain raiser of the marquee tournament as well. 

However, Pakistan fans are all excited for the event as it is the first ICC tournament in the country after 1996. The local fans are hoping for their stars to deliver and one of those is Babar Azam. The former skipper has not been in great form in recent times, but if Pakistan want to win the Cup, they need Babar to fire and that is what Pakistan fans are hoping. 

Pakistan Fan Expresses Disappointment On India Not Travelling To Pakistan

Now, ahead of the game, a Pakistan fan also shared her hope and stated in a short interview that she can only pray for Babar's good form. She stated that the whole country wants Babar Azam to score runs and also has high hopes on Naseem Shah. The girl also expressed her disappointment on India not travelling to Pakistan.

She mentioned that it would have been great to witness India taking on Pakistan at the den of Men in Green. The reporter then asks her about the most dangerous player from the Indian side for Pakistan. In reply, the fan mentions the name of Virat Kohli, showcasing how much the former Indian skipper is respected in Pakistan despite his indifferent form in recent times.
