On Wednesday, August 6, India star bowler Mohammed Siraj returned to India after a long tour to England. The right-arm seamer received a thunderous reception in India as the 31-year-old was the star for the visitors and took 23 wickets, the most by any bowler in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

Further, Siraj was the star in the fifth Test after he took three quick wickets on Day 5 to complete his fifer and help India level the series 2-2. The fans and cricket pundits hailed the right-arm seamer for his performance and heaped massive praise on the pacer for stand-out performance without Bumrah.

In the latest events, India legend Sachin Tendulkar too has spoken about Siraj's heroics and stated that the right-arm seamer does not get enough credit.

"Unbelievable. Superb approach. I love his attitude. I love the spring in his legs. For a fast bowler to be constantly in your face like that, no batsman will like it. And the approach he had till the end on the last day, I could hear commentators also saying he bowled around 90mph (145kph) on the last day after having bowled more than 1000 deliveries in the series. That shows his courage and big heart," Tendulkar remarked on Reditt as quoted by Cricinfo.

"The way he started on the last day was remarkable, and he has always been instrumental, playing a key role whenever we need him, whenever we want him to deliver that knockout punch. He's been able to do that consistently in the past, and so was the case in this series. The way he picked all those wickets and performed, he doesn't get the credit he deserves," he remarked.

Not just Siraj, but the Master Blaster also praised the entire team for their performance and especially mentioned Jaiswal and Shubman Gill.
