India's star batter, Rishabh Pant, returned to Test cricket for the first time in nearly two years in the recently concluded Test match against Bangladesh. It was a fabulous comeback as he smashed a century on his return and stitched a few records to his name.

Pant has been all over the internet in the last four days, hogging the internet with his bat for his glovework and his entertainment on the field, which was missed the most by the fans.

Pant Sets Field For Bangladesh

Recently, a clip spread like fire on the internet showing Pant helping Najmul Shanto-led Bangladesh set the field when he was batting at the crease.

"Arey idhar aayega ek. Idhar kam fielder hai (Hey, put a fielder here. There aren't many fielders here)," said Pant. Interestingly,  the Bangladeshi skipper obeyed Pant's instruction by moving a fielder.

Pant Explains His Reason To Set Field For Bangladesh

Pant shed light on that hilarious incident in the latest events and explained his decision.  "When Taskin Ahmed was coming to bowl in the second inning, why were you setting the field for him? Who is the Bangladesh captain, Shanto or Rishabh Pant?" Saba asked Pant.

"Ajay (Jadeja) Bhai and I often talk about how cricket should be better, whether the other team plays or our own. There wasn't a fielder there; two fielders were standing in the same spot, so I told him to position a fielder there," Pant said.

Pant Calls Test Cricket His Favourite Format

After India's historic win over Bangladesh, Pant called Test cricket as his favourite format and stated he belongs to red-ball cricket.

"100 was special because I love playing in Chennai. After injury I wanted to play all three formats and this was my first Test. Hope to get better every day," Pant said after India's 280-run win.

"It was emotional, I wanted to score each and every match which didn't happen but wanted to do well in Tests, which is where I belong the most. Being on the field gives me pleasure more than anything else," he added.

India will next face Bangladesh at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on September 27.
