In a heartwarming conversation with a media house, LSG pace sensation Mayank Yadav’s mother opened up about how they were only made aware of the pacer’s IPL debut minutes before the start of LSG-PBKS play.
Mayank Yadav finds himself on cloud nine after a sensational IPL debut that swept the fans off their feet. Yadav bowled consistently at the pace of 145-155 kmph that stunned the viewers across the country.
In his debut game against Punjab Kings, the fiery pacer picked up three wickets alongside his first Player of the Match award and followed it up with another three-wicket game against RCB.
That being said, Mayank Yadav has quickly become the apple of Indian cricket fans’ eye who wishes to see the quick pacer thrive at international stage soon.
However, interestingly, Mayank Yadav didn’t inform his parents about his debut game. In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, the pacer’s mom revealed that the family only got to know that Mayank was making his IPL debut at the toss.
They didn’t want to pressure him by asking questions, and Mayank chose to keep it as a surprise.
Regardless, the mom was elated with his son’s successful debut. She revealed that Mayank Yadav’s dad had always believed that the fast bowler would go on to make a name for himself. His father had seen his trajectory and knew if given an opportunity, the bowler can leave a sharp impact.
Not only that, Mayank’s mom revealed how they struggled a lot to help their son achieve his dreams without any limitations or setbacks. And that Yadav has taken the first step in the right direction, the family couldn’t be happier.
