Shashank Singh was the hero for Punjab Kings on Thursday evening during Punjab Kings' high-intense IPL 2024 clash against Gujarat Titans in Match 17 of the ongoing edition at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

And the way he celebrated after Punjab Kings achieved the highest-successful run chase in IPL 2024 made a lot of headlines. In fact, it got a new name, which was ‘bat point celebration’.

Coming to bat at No. 6, Shashank Singh came ahead of Jitesh Sharma to leave many shocked. However, he proved himself wrong, smashing an unbeaten 61 off 29 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes to take his side past the finishing line with a ball to spare.

Meanwhile, Punjab reached fifth on the points table with two wins and as many defeats. Gujarat, on the other hand, have two wins and two losses as well, although they are sixth due to a poor net run rate.

Shashank will be in action next when PBKS will face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 9 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali.
