Australia Women's captain, Alyssa Healy has voiced her opinion on the current situation in Bangladesh, where the Women's T20 World Cup is set to be played in October.

Healy stated that it is "hard to fathom" playing in Bangladesh at the moment, since the country is facing a political turmoil and violence has taken over the entire nation. Many innocent lives were taken as ruling party leader and Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina fled the nation, leaving the country in a tricky situation.

Healy pleads Bangladesh to sort their priorities

The ICC is also keeping a close tab on the current ongoings in the nation, and there have been talks that the T20 World Cup could be moved out of the country. The game's governing body will come up with a decision soon as UAE is considered the alternative.

Speaking about the situation in Bangladesh, Healy felt that hosting T20 WC should be the secondary priority, since the country is struggling for resources.

"I find it hard to see a cricket event going on over there at the moment and taking resources away from a country that is struggling. They are needing everyone they can get in there helping people that are dying," said Healy.

"I would find it hard to fathom playing there at the moment, as a human being, I feel like it might be the wrong thing to do. But I will leave it to the ICC to work out," she added.

The tournament is set to take place from October 3-20, and every participating country in the T20 World Cup is keeping a close eye on the entire situation.
