After an electrifying performance in IPL 2023, the prodigious left-hander Rinku Singh earned his place in the Indian team.

Recently making his international debut in the T20I series against Ireland, he delivered a commendable performance with 38 runs in two matches, averaging at 38. His strike rate of 180.95 and a series-high three sixes for an Indian batsman showcase his capabilities on the big stage.

Now, as the Asian Games 2023 looms, all eyes are on Rinku as he prepares to represent India in Hangzhou, China. The Indian team, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, is set to face stiff competition. However, Rinku is optimistic about the team's chances.

Speaking to The Times of India, Rinku shared his aspirations for the much-anticipated final. He strongly felt the possibility of an India-Pakistan final at the Games, reflecting the sentiment of millions of fans.

“I am confident of an India vs Pakistan final in the Asian Games. I am also hoping for the same,” said Rinku.




The southpaw further pointed out the strength and depth of the Indian side, pointing to the amalgamation of established stars and rising talents. Moreover, he voiced his confidence in the team's leadership, expressing eagerness to play under the captaincy of the skilled Ruturaj Gaikwad.

“We have got a strong and solid side. We have stars and talented players. We have a talented captain in Ruturaj (Gaikwad) bhai. I am really excited to play under him and join the Indian team as soon as possible. I am confident India will win a gold medal at the Asian Games. I am very excited,” added the attacking batter.

While the cricketing world knows the magnitude of an India-Pakistan match, having it in the finals of the Asian Games 2023 would surely elevate the stakes and the thrill.
