[Watch] Rinku Singh Blasts Three Sixes In Super Over Win For Meerut Mavericks

Rinku Singh launched three successive sixes in the Super Over against Kashi Rudra in match number three of the UPT20 2023 season. In doing so, the cricketer orchestrated a dramatic win for Meerut Mavericks in their opening game of the tournament.

Rinku Singh blasts Shiva Singh in Super Over

Meerut Mavericks took field against Kashi Rudra in their respective opening games of UPT20 2023 season. Batting first, the Mavericks charted 181-4 upfront off the back of Madhav Kaushik’s 52-ball 87*.

Remarkably, Rinku Singh struggled to get going in the innings until his stay was snapped by Riders’ Parv Singh. Rinku was cleaned up by the spinner after scoring just 15 from 22 deliveries.

Later in the evening, the Kashi Rudras batters launched confidently in the run-chase until a collapse in the death overs set them back in the game. Thankfully for the Rudras, sparkling fifties from Karan Sharma and Shivam Bansal handed them enough runs to secure a thrilling tie in the last ball of the match.

The action subsequently shifted to the tie-breaking Super Over, where the Rudras managed 16-1 in their attempt.

In response, Rinku made up for his earlier failed attempt with the bat by channelling his inner IPL demon to whack left-arm spinner Shiva Singh for three successive sixes, thus scripting a memorable win for Meerut Mavericks.

Rinku Singh will now take field for Meerut Mavericks in their subsequent UPT20 2023 match against Kanpur Superstars. Their forthcoming face-off marks Mavericks’ second match of the season.

Following the conclusion of UPT20 2023, Singh will be seen gracing the Indian colours at the 2023 Asian Games in China later this month.
