'Best Wishes To Team India But Not Him': Mohammed Shami's Ex-Wife Hasin Jahan

In the midst of the ICC World Cup 2023, where Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is making waves with his exceptional performance, his personal life has grabbed equal, if not more, attention due to the explosive comments from his former wife, Hasin Jahan. Jahan, who has been in a tumultuous and highly publicised legal battle with Shami, threw a curveball with her recent statements.

Hasin Jahan's gives cold shoulder to Mohammed Shami despite World Cup heroics

Jahan's remarks, tinged with bitterness underlined a controversial stance. She acknowledged Shami's success on the field, but with an angle that suggests her interest is more financial than familial. Her comments implied that Shami's continued presence in the team, which is securing their daughter Aaira's future due to his earnings, is more of a necessity than a point of pride. This cold approach has added fuel to the fiery saga of their relationship.

"Kuch bhi hai, accha perform kr rha hai, accha khelega, team main bana rahega, achha kamayega toh humara bhavishya secure rahega. (Whatever it is, if he [Shami] is performing well, will stay in Indian team and earn well, it will secure our future),” said Jahan in an interview with News Nation.

While the nation is cheering for Shami's cricketing brilliance, Jahan refused to personally wish him. This stark contrast in her support for Team India versus her ex-husband showed the deep rift between the two.

"I will give my best wishes to Team India but not him," added Jahan.

Their past, marred by allegations of infidelity, domestic violence, and even match-fixing has made this situation a hotbed of controversy. Shami's side of the story adds to the drama. His outright denial of all accusations along with his statement about never betraying his country have put him in direct opposition to Jahan's claims.
