The biggest carnival of Indian cricket is just around the corner and one player who will be in the radar of almost everyone is Rishabh Pant. He met with a deadly accident in December 2022 and has been out of action since then. However, he is fit and ready to go now and would be leading Delhi Capitals after missing out in IPL 2023.

There is an element of doubt though among the cricketing fraternity about how he will tackle the big-stage of IPL after such a long break and things might get difficult for him at least in the initial phase of IPL 2024.

However, Pravin Amre, the batting coach of DC seems pretty confident of Rishabh Pant doing well in IPL 2024 and mentioned that Pant is showing all his trademark vintage skills in the training session. Amre also applauded Pant for working hard throughout his rehabilitation and added that Pant is mentally very strong and has the hunger to get back on the cricketing field.

"As coaching unit and personally, it was really pleasing to see him bat. It didn't feel like he was batting after a long time, the bat swing was vintage. We have to give credit to him, the way he has worked hard throughout the year, is not easy. It shows how mentally strong and hungry he is."

Delhi Capitals will kickstart their IPL campaign with a day game against Punjab Kings at Mohali on 23rd of March.
