In the world of cricket, every move on the field and every word uttered in commentary can spark heated debates and discussions. Recently, during a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals, Virat Kohli's innings became the focal point of such discussions.

Kohli's measured approach, taking 39 balls to reach his fifty and a total of 67 balls to notch up his hundred, stirred varied reactions. While some hailed his anchoring role amidst RCB's batting struggles, others scrutinized his strike rate in the context of Twenty20 cricket's fast-paced nature.

Ian Bishop, a renowned cricket commentator, found himself in the eye of the storm when he praised Kohli's fifty as achieved in "just 39 balls." A critical social media post highlighting this remark prompted Bishop to publicly apologize to Kohli.

In a stark contrast of fortunes, Rajasthan Royals clinched their fourth consecutive victory in the 2024 IPL, becoming the first team to do so, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered their third consecutive defeat at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium on April 6.

Chasing 184, Rajasthan reached the target in just 19.1 overs, sealing a six-wicket win. Jos Buttler's explosive century of 100 runs off 58 balls, alongside skipper Sanju Samson's 69 off 42 balls, powered Rajasthan to victory. Buttler's century, his first since May 2022 and against RCB, marked his 100th IPL appearance, making him the second player to achieve a century on this milestone, following KL Rahul.

Meanwhile, Kohli's unbeaten 113 off 72 balls, adorned with 12 fours and four sixes, earned him his third century in the last seven IPL innings, yet RCB's struggles persist as they remain in 8th place on the points table.
