As the Champions Trophy 2025 is set to draw the end line, the cricket world is all excited to see the high-voltage final clash of the marquee event. Fans are in for a high-voltage showdown as India and New Zealand gear up to add another thrilling chapter to their intense rivalry.
Along with the fans, the players of both sides are also excited for the upcoming clash. Ahead of the mega showdown, Kane Williamson exuded confidence, believing his squad is ready to deliver on the grand stage.
Williamson On The Final Clash
The last group stage clash against India ended with a heartbreak for the Kiwis as they faced a 44-run defeat. But they bounced back strong, crushing South Africa in the semifinal with a dominant all-round performance. With that commanding win, they secured their spot in the final. Before facing Men in Blue on the final stage, Kane Williamson is confident about their strength.
“India are an outstanding team and playing really well. So, look it’s important we try and take away some learnings from that last game. Park this match, and in a final, anything can happen. And it was a great atmosphere last game, and I’m sure it’ll be a good one again. Williamson said.
Williamson’s Take On Adapting Dubai Condition
Since Pakistan was the host, Team India is playing all their matches in Dubai, and the rest of the teams are facing each other on Pakistani soil. As the final clash will be played in Dubai, the conditions may challenge the Kiwis. While acknowledging this, Williamson says they are ready for the challenges.
“The Conditions are different, so it’s important that we try and take away some of those positives and be nice and clear in how we’re trying to operate come the final.” he added.
Hailing Rachin’s Brilliance
After missing out on the first clash of the Champions Trophy, Rachin Ravindra made a mighty comeback on the big stage. After smashing a thrilling ton against Bangladesh, Rachin shone with an exceptional century on the semifinal stage and played a crucial role in New Zealand’s win. Before stepping onto the big stage, Williamson hailed Rachin Ravindra’s brilliance.
“Rachin is an incredibly special talent. It is always great to bat with him. He goes out, and he puts the team first, and he plays with that freedom.” Williamson said.
On March 9, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is set to host the blockbuster match. As the big day nears, both mighty sides are ready to take on the challenges on the big stage.
