The re-arrival of the Champions Trophy has become a blockbuster one as the cricket fans witnessed some unmissable thrills. Before pulling the curtains down, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium is all set to host the high-voltage final clash of the marquee event.

After dream runs, India and New Zealand are set to cross swords on the big stage of the Champions Trophy 2025 Final on March 9. Before stepping into the big clash, Kiwi captain Mitchell Santner warns the Indian side.

Santner’s Warning To India

Another chapter of the India-New Zealand encounter will be scripted on Sunday as both sides are set to face each other in the Champions Trophy final. As both sides faced each other in their last group stage clash, the Kiwis had a tough outing as they faced a heartbreaking defeat. Now, with a shot at redemption, skipper Mitchell Santner has fired a warning to Rohit Sharma and Co., vowing to put the Men in Blue under pressure.

“Being there in Dubai and putting India under pressure gave us confidence. You take in what things work and what doesn’t. I think the bowlers bowled well to chip wickets at the top. I think winning the toss will be nice as well.” Santner said.

After defeating South Africa in the semifinal two, the Kiwi side shined with brilliance. With their dominance, they outplayed the Proteas and sealed the final entry. That has boosted their confidence before the big clash, and Santner is all excited to face the Indian side on the big stage.

“It’s a cool feeling to make the final. We were challenged by a good side. We’ve had a go against India, look forward to do it again.” Santner added.

Hailing Williamson's Masterclass In The Last Match

While facing South Africa in the last clash, the New Zealand players showcased their absolute brilliance. But Kane Williamson’s hundred and his incredible partnership paved the way for the Kiwis to register a massive victory. Adding to that, Williamson also became the highest international run scorer for New Zealand. New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner hailed Williamson’s brilliance.

“Williamson keeps doing it. That partnership (with Rachin) was massive. Might’ve been frustrated a touch at times, but they flipped the switch earlier and got us to 360. Looking back, 320 might not have been enough.” he said.

On March 9, the cricket world is all excited to see the nail-biting clash between India and New Zealand. In the ICC ODI events, both have played 12 matches and secured 6 victories each. With the stakes higher than ever, this clash will decide who takes the lead and who must wait for redemption.
