The IPL 2025 buzz is heating up, and a viral video from SunRisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) social media has fans talking. The clip features a familiar face from the Gujarat Titans camp, Abhinav Manohar, launching monstrous sixes in the nets, showcasing his raw power-hitting prowess. 

Ahead of his debut season with SRH, Abhinav Manohar turned heads with a ferocious net session. The video, shared by SRH’s official handles, shows the 30-year-old batter dismantling bowlers with effortless clean strikes, particularly targeting the leg-side and straight boundaries. 

Abhinav Manohar Hits It Big In The Nets!

Abhinav Manohar is a right-handed batter and a part-time leg-spin bowler from Bangalore, Karnataka, who notably played under Shubman Gill in GT. While he’s yet to fully unleash his bowling in the IPL, his batting credentials in domestic cricket speak volumes.

His ability to generate power from a compact stance and quick hands will be an asset for SRH, a team craving middle-order firepower Manohar’s form could be a game-changer.

Manohar's Rise In Domestic Cricket

Manohar honed his skills at the Bangalore United Cricket Club (BUCC), dominating Karnataka’s first-division circuit. His breakthrough came in the 2021–22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he smashed an unbeaten 70* in his T20 debut for Karnataka. 

He followed this with consistent performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the now-defunct Karnataka Premier League (KPL), earning a reputation as a clutch hitter.

Manohar's IPL Career

Gujarat Titans snagged him for ₹2.6 crore in the 2022 mega auction, pairing him with then-teammate Shubman Gill. Manohar made an instant impact in his debut IPL season, scoring a blistering 15* off 7, balls against Lucknow Super Giants. 

Over three seasons with GT, he played 19 matches, scoring 231 runs at a strike rate of 132.76. he had limited opportunities to prove himself yet he stood out with his hitting prowess.

With SRH set to begin their venture of IPL 2025 against Rajasthan Royals on March 23, the power-hitter might find a place for himself in the playing XI, especially after his Vijay Hazare heroics.
