Virender Sehwag was seen in his true elements during the International League T20 2024's (ILT20 2024) introduction video for its star-studded commentary team as the swashbuckling former India batter once again confronted his Pakistani counterparts.

With the organisers of the second edition of the UAE-based T20 league revealing their commentary panel for the season ahead, Sehwag gave it back to his historic counterparts Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar in equal measure in a humorous conversation between the quartet.

Revealed in a zoom-call format on Twitter, the clip saw Sehwag's great frenemy Akhtar initially introduce him as a "gentle off-spinner", before the legendary Wasim and Waqar joined in the quest to pull the former India batter's leg.

"Don’t be afraid, Veeru (Virender Sehwag). The last time the three of us (Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and Shoaib Akhtar) were playing, you were cleaning your spectacles on the field," Wasim said.

Sehwag's Hilarious Response To Bowling Quartet

Later, when Sehwag learnt that even his former India teammate and another bowler in the panel, Harbhajan Singh, is set to call the on-field action behind the mic for ILT20 2024, he came up with a joyous comment on their collective presence.

Sehwag told Wasim wears contact lenses now since he wishes to see their beautiful faces clearly and added that even though he is surprised to find himself in a bowlers' club, he is good enough alone to take on all of them.

"I wear contact lenses now… to look at your beautiful face," he said. "Are there only bowlers allowed in this commentary panel? No worries, tum sabke liye mai akela hi kaafi hoon (For you guys, I’m enough)."

Notably, the commentary panel for the league will also feature Saba Karim, Rohan Gavaskar, Alan Wilkins, Simon Doull, Daren Ganga, Anjum Chopra along with Reema Malhotra and Natalie Germanos.

The tournament kickstarts with a clash between defending champions Gulf Giants and Sharjah Warriors in Sharjah on January 19.
