Former India captain Virat Kohli gave a sneak peek to his passionate fanbase in the legend's holiday house tour in Alibaug in Mumbai on Wednesday (January 10). The global star icon gave a holiday home visit to his fans in a special feature for his brand association with the 'Avas' application.

Kohli, who resides in Mumbai with his wife and Bollywood star icon Anushka Sharma and their little daughter Vamika, revealed he has built a holiday house in Alibaug and visits the place when he is on break from international duties.

The great player said during the promotional clip that he makes it a point to spend time in the Alibaug home with his family as it helps him refresh and recharge his batteries before returning to India colours.

Kohli further revealed he has made sure there is no outer source of entertainment in his holiday home to detach from the world outside and there is a special dining table since he values conversation which takes place over food, something he admitted to have missed out during his childhood.

Virat Kohli Gives Alibaug Holiday House Trip

"Welcome to my holiday home in Alibaug. Come on, in," Kohli says in the promotional video. "The most important thing for me in a holiday home is the feeling when you enter the place, (it) has to make you feel absolutely relaxed, centered and peaceful. Just feeling at home away from your regular home."

"As you can see there is no television here, there is no other source of entertainment. So this is where all the conversations would take place. I really value and cherish to have meals together as a family (because) to be very honest, I did not do that enough as a kid myself."

"Most of the time I was practising and out of home (playing cricket). But whenever there was an occasion in the house, the common place was the dinner table where all the food would be spread out on the dinner table. But that is something what I couldn't do enough of," the ex skipper shared.

Kohli, who batted exceedingly well during the Test series in South Africa and was one of the heroes of India's historic win in Cape Town, will be hoping to continue his rich vein of form when he makes his comeback to T20I duties via the three-match series against Afghanistan, starting Thursday (January 11).
