Jasprit Bumrah is considered by many as the best bowler of the current generation, and he keeps them proving right with each passing series. He was brilliant for India in the Australia series and now has started the England tour with another fifer.

The bowler looked a class apart from all other bowlers on show in the first Test and could have got more wickets had Indian fielders shown better catching skills. Thus, Bumrah is receiving applause from all corners, and now former England captain Nasser Hussain has also joined the long list.

Nasser Hussain Expresses His Admiration For Jasprit Bumrah

Nasser, while talking on SkySports, stated that he would have found it difficult to tackle the greatness of Jasprit Bumrah. He mentioned that it would have been an absolute nightmare to face Jasprit Bumrah because of the angle he brings to the table.

The former England captain also very kindly stated that Bumrah would have got him out 10 times in as many innings, and he is just brilliant, whereas he was not in the same category during his playing days.

"I would have have had an absolute nightmare. Anyone that created an angle like he does, would get me out for fun. He would get me out ten times out of ten in a five-match series. He is just brilliant and I wasn't."

Nasser Hussain's observation about Jasprit Bumrah seems solely based on the Indian pacer's dominance across formats in varied conditions. He initially made his name for his pin-point yorkers, but since the time he made his Test debut, he has been incredible in the format.

Now, his latest five-wicket haul against England in Headingley has put him on par with great Kapil Dev's tally of fifers in SENA countries. He is also the first Asian bowler to pick 150 wickets in SENA countries and is growing in stature with each passing game.
