What if IPL final gets abandoned [Source: @iplt20.com]
The stage is set as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 finale will take place between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Punjab Kings at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Both the teams have met thrice this season with the Challengers having a 2-1 lead.
RCB will have the psychological edge since they defeated the Shreyas Iyer led side in the Qualifier 1 recently. However, after what transpired against Mumbai Indians, PBKS will be riding high on confidence and RCB cannot take them lightly.
What if rain plays spoilsport in RCB Vs PBKS final?
In the Qualifier 2 between PBKS and MI, rain god played spoilsport as it took almost two hours for the game to start from its scheduled time. There were rain predictions and it came true, however, the finale will also take place at the same venue and what if rain once again plays spoilsport? will there be a joint winner?.
The finale will take place on June 3 and if rain abandons the match then there is a reserve day in place for the finale to take place.
What if the reserve day is also washed out?
If the reserve day (June 4), also gets abandoned due to rain then the team which has finished higher in the points table will be declared the winner. In this case, PBKS will be crowned the champions since they topped the points table and RCB finished second. Interestingly, both the teams had 19 points in the league stage but PBKS had a better net run-rate.
