Virat Kohli dominated with his back-to-back Vijay Hazare trophy scores as he piled up a 77 after his 131 for Delhi in the first round. The India maestro returned to the domestic circuit after a long break and made his comeback memorable with solid runs.
Kohli, known for his mammoth averages, however, is just short of topping an elite book of List A cricketers which also sees names like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
After Virat Kohli’s most recent knock in VHT, he ranks as one of the players with the highest career batting average in List A cricket. Let’s take a look at all of the players decorating the record.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the talented prospect of Indian cricket and a Chennai Super Kings favourite, enters the list with his average of 56.68 from his 89 list A innings where he piled up a total of 4648 runs while striking at 101.15.

3) Virat Kohli - 57.67
Virat Kohli ranks third on the list following his recent 77-run knock against Gujarat on December 26, 2025.
