One of the very few players who have represented more than five franchises, Dinesh Karthik has been an integral part of the IPL. DK has featured in the league for six teams, Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Lions, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. 

During his IPL career, he has even led the KKR team and then he returned to his former franchise RCB as a finisher. With 4,516 runs, including 20 half-centuries and the highest score of 97 not out, DK has made the most of his IPL career. Being 38 years and 288 days old, Dinesh Karthik is set to feature as the fifth oldest player in the IPL 2024. 


4. Mohammad Nabi - 39 Years, 74 Days

The Afghan all-rounder, Mohammad Nabi, with his amazing performances at the international level in the shortest format, earned IPL contracts. Nabi has featured in the league for Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders so far and now he is set to play for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming season.

Being a foreign player, the all-rounder gets only a few matches to play, but he has managed to prove his worth with his expertise. His strike rate has been over 130, whenever he came out to bat and has also scalped 13 wickets in his 17-match IPL career so far. Being 39 years and 74 days old, Nabi is the fourth oldest to feature in the IPL 2024.

The keeper-batter, Wridhiman Saha, has been one of the most underrated players in the history of the IPL. Batting right at the top order, Saha plays fearlessly and has provided amazing starts in the powerplay to his teams. He has been a part of Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans. 

With the added skill of keeping the wickets, Saha has always been in the scheme of things for each franchise he has been a part of. He even has a century to his name along with almost 2800 runs in his IPL career so far. Being 39 years and 143 days old, Saha will be stepping onto the field as the third oldest player in the IPL 2024.

One of the fittest cricketers in the world, Faf du Plessis is known for his fearless batting at the top and also his fielding skills. The former captain of the Proteas has featured in IPL three times so far - Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiants and now Royal Challengers Bangalore. 

In his IPL career, Faf has hammered over 4,000 runs, with a stunning average of over 36. During his time with Chennai Super Kings, he was an integral part of the team in their run to the IPL titles. For the last two years, he has been leading the RCB team and being 39 years and 246 days old, he is going to be the second oldest player to feature in the IPL 2024.

The Thala of Chennai and one of only two captains who have five IPL trophies under their belt, MS Dhoni has been the face of the Chennai Super Kings since the inceptions of the IPL. He has proven that age is just a number and will be featuring in his 17th season this time around. The love and affection are what helps him come back in the yellow and absorb the love. 

While Chennai was banned for a couple of seasons, Dhoni also featured in the colours of the Rising Pune Supergiants. In his IPL career, Dhoni has hammered 5,082 runs in 218 innings with an average of over 38. Being 42 years and 252 days old, he will be the oldest player to feature in the IPL 2024.
