In the fast-paced T20 format, the batters are more inclined towards scoring runs aggressively rather than taking a few deliveries and then converting it into a big innings. In order to play aggressively, the batters often lose their wicket but sometimes they are forced to play fiercely owing to the required run-rate. However, sometimes the bowlers have produced peaches where the batter could not help himself but lose his wicket.

5. Rashid Khan - 14 Ducks

One of the greatest leg-spinners among the current cricketers, Rashid Khan from Afghanistan, has an unwanted record for most ducks to his name. The Afghan spinner has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and has been a part of Gujarat Titans for the last two years. However, he possesses the ability to hit some long balls, which was evident in the clash against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023. 

In 50 innings, Rashid Khan has recorded 14 ducks so far and unfortunately, included in the list of players with the most number of ducks in the history of IPL. Talking about his batting career, the leg-spinner has smacked 443 runs in 52 innings with an average of just above 13 but has a half-century to his name as well.

Mandeep Singh despite being talented, has not been able to convert his chances in the Indian Premier League. He has been given a truckload of opportunities but he failed to cement his place in any team. So far, he has represented Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore but could not retain his place. 

In his 98 innings in the IPL, Mandeep aggregated 1706 runs, including six half-centuries and a highest score of 77. He comes fourth on the list of players with the most ducks with 15 to his name, which is not ideal for any top-order batter.

One of the prominent Knights of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunil Narine has been a prolific contributor for the team over all these years. In KKR's run to the two titles, Narine played a crucial role both with the bat and ball. As per the requirements of the team, he has batted everywhere from top to bottom. 

In order to provide his fierceness with the bat, Narine failed on a few occasions and has recorded 15 ducks so far, which puts him on the third position among the players with the most number of ducks in IPL. In 96 innings, he has hammered over 1,000 runs, including four half-centuries, which are extraordinary numbers for a bowler.

The face of the Mumbai Indians and the man who led them to win the five IPL trophies, Rohit Sharma is nothing short of a lucky charm to the side. He is also among the highest scorers in the history of IPL with over 6,000 runs under his belt. When he gets going, he can punish even the greatest bowlers of the world. 

Unfortunately, he has an unwanted record to his name as he had to walk off to the pavilion without disturbing the scores on 16 occasions in his long career of 238 innings so far. Rohit may have not scored in these 16 games, but he has been one of the greatest batters IPL has ever witnessed.

The man who has featured in the colours of almost all the franchises, Dinesh Karthik would not be pleased to see his name at the top of the list of players with the most number of ducks in the history of the Indian Premier League. He has been an amazing contributor to each of the teams he has played for and has been able to make a good IPL career so far. 

In 221 innings of his IPL career, Karthik has hammered over 4,500 runs with the highest score of 97 not out. But he has also been dismissed for a duck 17 times in his career so far, which lands him on top of this list. With the possibility of the upcoming season being his last one, Dinesh would look to record zero ducks for RCB.
