Rishabh Pant is a superstar and the batter left the IPL demons behind to slam a majestic century against England in the first Test match at Headingley. Pant had a disappointing IPL campaign but the champion batter roared back with a rousing hundred against a toothless English bowling attack.

This was his 7th Test century and in the process, the maverick batter went past former captain MS Dhoni's record. Before the start of the Test, both Pant and MSD had 6 Test tons each. However, with a blistering century on Saturday, the 27-year-old surpassed the former captain to become the India keeper with most Test tons.

With the left-handed batter standing tall, here is a list of Indian keepers with most Test tons.

5) Syed Kirmani -2 hundreds

The former keeper batter had registered 2 hundreds in his illustrious Test career. A quietly efficient worker, Kirmani was an astute keeper-batter and had amassed 2759 runs in 88 matches, including 2 centuries,

4) Farokh Engineer -3 hundreds

An old school, classical keeper, Engineer was one of the best of his trade and was agile as a keeper. He was solidly built but had remarkable reflexes. Throughout his illustrious Test career Engineer accumulated 2611 runs and scored 2 tons.

3) Wriddhiman Saha - 3 Hundreds

The best pure keeper in India, Wriddhiman Saha had an interesting Cricketing journey. He never truly cemented his place as MS Dhoni donned the gloves during his prime and when MSD retired, Saha was not at the peak of his powers.

Yet, he played some handy knocks for India and also had 3 brilliant centuries to his name in his 40-match Test career.

2) MS Dhoni - 6 Hundreds

Before Pant, there was MS Dhoni who kept wickets for India for nearly a decade. One of the best in the business, MSD's Test career wasn't defined with centuries but key innings he played when India used to be in trouble.

In 90 matches, the former Test captain slammed 6 Test centuries, and recorded 4876 runs.

1) Rishabh Pant - 7 Hundreds

The new topper of the list, Rishabh Pant idolised MS Dhoni and has now surpassed him in the century tally. Against England on Saturday, he broke Dhoni's record and blasted his 7th Test ton to become the Indian keeper with most centuries in Test cricket.
