Over the last five years, Shubman Gill has been criticized for his Test performances. The youngster announced his arrival with a brilliant 91 against Australia at Gabba but has blown hot and cold since then. However, on Friday, the newly appointed India captain showed his class and registered his first Test ton in SENA nation.
This was his 6th Test century and one of his finest knock in red-ball cricket. During the course of his magnificent knock, Gill also surpassed his idol, Virat Kohli in terms of most hundreds scored by an Indian in WTC history. Gill, however, is not the leader when it comes to the most hundreds by an Indian as another batter occupies that spot.
