There have been many records kept intact by the Pakistan batters, continuing their legacy of scoring massive hundreds. Following them was Pakistan's newest young sensation, Hasan Nawaz, who broke onto the scene in the recent T20I game against New Zealand.

Hasan Nawaz's sensational effort with the bat helped Pakistan finish the game against New Zealand comfortably with four overs to spare. However, with this knock, he became the player to score the fastest hundred for Pakistan in T20I cricket.

Additionally, there are a few more names on the list. So, let's find out who Nawaz beat to grab the top spot for the fastest T20I hundreds for his nation.

3. Babar Azam vs NZ In 58 balls, Lahore, 2023

The number three position is jointly shared by Pakistani superstar Babar Azam and former batter Ahmed Shehzad. Starting with Azam, the right-handed batter played a wonderful 101* run knock off just 58 deliveries, as he smashed the ton to help Pakistan ease this challenge against New Zealand back in 2023.

It was the second T20I of this series, Azam achieved his ton in 58 deliveries with the help of 11 fours and three sixes while opening the innings alongside Mohammad Rizwan. His 101* helped Pakistan score 192 for the loss of four wickets while the Kiwis could get only as far as 154 to hand the home side a victory in Lahore by 38 runs.

3. Ahmed Shehzad vs BAN In 58 balls, Dhaka, 2014

And now moving to Ahmed Shehzad, who also scored a ton against Bangladesh back in 2014 in Mirpur, as he went on to score 111* off 62 deliveries while achieving his century in just 58 balls.

In that game, Ahmed Shehzad opened, scoring 111 not out with the help of 10 fours and five sixes while batting at a strike rate of 179.03, as Pakistan went on to achieve 190 and only to stop Bangladesh for 140, eventually winning the game by a comfortable margin of 50 runs.

2. Babar Azam vs SA In 49 balls, Centurion, 2021

Now, featuring the second time on the list is Babar Azam, the Pakistani batter, who achieved a marvellous ton against South Africa off just 49 deliveries back in 2021 at Centurion. He played a wonderful 122-run knock from 59 deliveries, helping their side to victory comfortably by nine wickets and 12 deliveries to spare.

So, the Proteas side batted first and put up a daunting target of 203 on the board as the Pakistan side achieved the target in just 18 overs with Azam's 122 supported well by Mohammad Rizwan's 73*. In the knock of 122, Azam smashed 15 fours and four sixes, as he struck runs at a brilliant 206.77.

1. Hasan Nawaz vs NZ In 44 balls, Auckland, Today*

On number one on this list is Hasan Nawaz, who broke onto the scene after shattering Babar Azam's record with an unbeatable 44-ball hundred against New Zealand in Auckland, in the third T20I of the ongoing five-match T20I series. The New Zealand side batted first in this contest and reached 204 powered by Mark Chapman's 94.

While in reply, Nawaz was simply fantastic with 105* coming off just 45 deliveries, including four fours and seven sixes, while striking at 233.33. He reached his century with a boundary on the fifth ball of the 16th over and again smashed a four off Kyle Jamieson, to finish the game for his side with nine wickets and four overs to spare.
