Pakistan are currently playing T20I series against New Zealand, and it will be followed by an ODI series where big players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will in action. The training for the same has started, and the ODI squad played a practice game too.
Mohammad Rizwan's Leg Stump Goes For A Ride
Babar Azam scored runs, after failing in National T20 Cup, but Rizwan failed to make that opportunity count. Now, in a clip that is going viral, Mohammad Rizwan was seen getting bowled by a stunning delivery of Mohammad Wasim Jr.
It was a good-length delivery, on middle and it seamed back in sharply as Mohammad Rizwan tried to defend it off the front foot. The ball sneaked between his bat and pad and the ball knocked over the leg pole in style.
The stump went for a ride and Babar Azam at the non-striker's end was also left surprised as he kept looking at Rizwan and stumps after the dismissal. Pakistan fans would be hoping that their skipper did not lose his wicket against seam bowling on the New Zealand tour and comes out with some consistent performances.
Mohammad Rizwan had a poor Champions Trophy both as a batter and as skipper, and the pressure is buidling on the wicketkeeper batter to deliver. He has already been axed from the T20I side both as a player and as a captain, and Rizwan would be itching to prove a point in New Zealand.
The first ODI will be played at McLean Parl, Napier on March 29 after the T20I series ends on March 26.
