Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to make rapid strides in Indian cricket at the age of just 14. After impressing one-and-all during the IPL 2025 season and in junior tours of England and Australia earlier this year, the teenage batting prodigy shattered records with a whirlwind 32-ball century on the opening day of the 2025 Men’s Rising Stars Asia Cup.

Celebrating Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s unprecedented rise in competitive cricket, here is a look at an updated list for players with fastest T20 centuries to their names.

7. Vaibhav Suryavanshi – 32 balls, India A vs UAE in Doha, 2025

Indian wonderkid Vaibhav Suryavanshi bludgeoned a 32-ball century against UAE in match number two of the 2025 Asia Cup Rising Stars. Opening the innings for India A at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, the 14-year-old blasted 11 fours and 15 huge sixes in his electrifying knock of 144 runs from just 42 balls.

Suryavanshi’s thunderous outing with the bat helped India A blaze past the 200-run mark in less than 14 overs in the game.

6. Rishabh Pant – 32 balls, Delhi vs Himachal Pradesh in Delhi, 2018

Delhi zealot and blistering Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant smeared a 32-ball century against Himachal Pradesh bowlers in the North Zone match of the 2017-18 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Opening the innings alongside veteran opener Gautam Gambhir in a small chase of 145, Pant launched 12 huge sixes and eight cracking boundaries to slap 116* runs in just 38 balls.

Rishabh Pant’s heroics helped Delhi mow down Himachal Pradesh’s total with 50 balls to spare, and the innings also helped him gain wider recognition among the Indian selectors shortly after making his T20I debut.

5. Chris Gayle – 30 balls, RCB vs vs Pune Warriors India in Bengaluru, 2013

In match 31 of the IPL 2013 season at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, RCB opener and West Indies giant Chris Gayle towered over Pune Warriors India bowlers with a hundred for the ages, tonking 175* runs in all in just 66 deliveries with 13 fours and 17 huge sixes.

The legendary left-handed opener raced to his ton from just 30 balls to record the fastest IPL century in history, a stat that still prevails to this day.

4. Muhammad Fahad – 29 balls, Turkey vs Bulgaria in Sofia, 2025

Just a couple of months ago at the Vassil Levski National Sports Academy in Sofia during match five of the Bulgaria tri-nation T20I series, Turkey opener Muhammad Fahad tonked his maiden T20I century and made it a memorable one. The 38-year-old hammered down a 29-ball ton against Bulgaria bowlers, and listed 120 runs in all from just 34 balls with 10 fours and 12 huge sixes as Turkey mounted 237 in 19.3 overs.

The innings also helped Turkey record a 59-run victory and notch up their only win of the tri-nation series.

3. Abhishek Sharma – 28 balls, Punjab vs Meghalaya in Saurashtra, 2024

Just a few months after making his Team India debut, blistering opener Abhishek Sharma justified his international call-up by punching out a 28-ball hundred in the Group A match of the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Chasing 143 for a win against Meghalaya, Punjab captain and opener rained down 106 unbeaten runs from just 29 balls with eight fours and 11 huge sixes at the Niranjan Shah Stadium C in Rajkot.

2. Urvil Patel – 28 balls, Gujarat vs Tripura in Indore, 2024

Roughly a week prior to Abhishek Sharma’s 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy blitz, Gujarat opener Urvil Patel also whacked a 28-ball century in the same tournament, albeit against Tripura at the Emerald High School Ground in Indore.

He raced to his half-century off just 15 balls with four fours and five sixes, and took just another 13 more deliveries to convert it into a hundred as Urvil Patel’s grand knock of 113* from 35 balls helped Gujarat wallop Tripura by eight wickets in just 10.2 overs.

1. Sahil Chauhan – 27 balls, Estonia vs Cyprus in Episkopi, 2024

Estonia middle-order batter Sahil Chauhan smashed a 27-ball century in the second T20I of his team’s six-match series against hosts Cyprus at the Happy Valley Ground in June 2024. The innings not only marked the fastest century in the history of T20 internationals, but also the fastest overall in the game’s history.

Chasing 192 to win in 20 overs, Sahil Chauhan plundered 144* runs off 41 balls with six fours and 18 huge sixes as Estonia won the match by six wickets and seven overs to spare.
