Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the teenage Indian prodigy, smashed a whirlwind 32-ball century to take down the UAE in the ongoing Rising Stars Asia Cup tournament. He came into this match on the back of some stellar form, and the 14-year-old continued the domination as he became the joint third-fastest Indian to score a T2O ton, joining Rishabh Pant.

On a wicket that was a paradise for the batters, Suryavanshi hammered 10 fours and 9 sixes and had a strike rate in excess of 300 as the UAE bowlers were made to look helpless. Interestingly, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dropped on his very first ball, and he punished them with a knock for the ages. His strike rate of 324.85 is the fourth-highest for any men’s T20 hundred

At one stage, the 14-year-old had a chance to score his maiden double century in T20 cricket, but he was eventually dismissed for an unimaginable 42-ball 144.

  • Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan dominates the list with a 27-ball ton , playing for Estonia against Cyprus. Two Indians then dominate the charts with Urvil Patel, and Abhishek Sharma in the list.
  • Muhammad Fahad hammered a 29-ball ton for Turkey, and Chris Gayle follows him as the RCB legend tore apart Pune Warriors in the 2013 IPL season.
  • Suryavanshi and Pant, the two southpaws took the same amount of deliveries to smack their respective hundreds.

Suryavanshi's dream rise through IPL

During the IPL 2025 mega auction, Suryavanshi became the youngest to be sold in the IPL as RR acquired him for INR 1.10 crore. He had to wait for his opportunity, but it arrived, the left-handed batter grabbed it with both hands.

In just seven matches, he scored 252 runs, with a strike rate of 206, but the most impressive part was that against the Gujarat Titans, he became the youngest centurion in IPL history. With such performances, RR is surely set to retain their prodigy for the next season.
