Sahil Chauhan scored 144*(41) [X]
Indian-origin batter, Sahil Chauhan who plays for the Estonian national team, on Monday, June 17, broke Chris Gayle's record of the fastest T20 Century ever scored as he scored an unbeaten 144 off just 41 against Cyprus.
In the 2nd T20 of the 6-match series against Cyprus, where Estonia was asked to chase down the target of 192, Chauhan came in to bat at 4 in the second over when Estonia was 9/2 and went all guns blazing as he single-handedly took them over the line.
The 32-year-old started his innings with 6, 4, 6 and didn't look back, reaching the fifty in just 14 balls, also scoring 4 sixes in an over in the process. Estonia also found themselves 40/3 at a stage that still didn't stop Sahil from creating history.
Chauhan went on to reach the three-figure mark in 27 balls where he broke Loftie-Eaton's record of the quickest century in international cricket (33 balls) that he scored against Nepal earlier this year and Chris Gayle's 30-ball record in all T20 cricket.
