Sylhet Titans pounded Noakhali Express by nearly 11 overs to spare in match 13 of the BPL 2025-26 season. Marking a huge mismatch between the two sides, the outcome went on to become one of the biggest one-sided games in the history of the tournament, at least in terms of number of balls remaining.

Celebrating Sylhet Titans’ latest success, here is a look at five of the biggest wins recorded in BPL history in run-chases.

5. 64 balls – Comilla Victorians vs Chattogram Challengers, Sylhet, 2024

The Comilla Victorians franchise pulverised Chattogram Challengers by seven wickets and with 64 balls to spare in match 18 of the BPL 2024 season at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Victorians spinner Tanvir Islam knocked over the Challengers for just 72 in 16.3 overs through his cunning four-wicket haul at an expense of just 13 runs. Al Islam and Raymon Reifer also picked up the key wickets, before Towhid Hridoy belted 31 off 13 balls to set up a comprehensive win for the Comilla Victorians.

4. 68 balls – Sylhet Titans vs Noakhali Express, Sylhet, 2026

As many as four Noakhali Express batters were dismissed for ducks, and five others were restricted to single-digits as they went from 55-5 to 61 all out in match number 13 of the BPL 2025-26 season by the Sylhet Titans. Titans bowler Nasum Ahmed himself picked up five of those Express wickets for just seven runs from his four overs in Sylhet.

Chasing 62, Sylhet Titans lost each of their top four batters, but still frolicked the Noakhali Express without breaking a sweat by six wickets and 68 balls to spare.

3. 72 balls – Rangpur Riders vs Khulna Titans, Mirpur, 2016

Back in November 2016 during the 2016-17 edition of the BPL, Rangpur Riders recorded a comprehensive routing of Khulna Titans by nine wickets and 72 balls intact, thus registering the biggest win in terms of balls remaining in BPL history at the time.

For Rangpur Riders, Shahid Afridi (4-12) and Arafat Sunny (3-0) picked up seven wickets between them to bundle out the Titans for just 44 in 10.4 overs. It took the Riders just eight overs and the loss of an opener to finish off the game and mark a statement win early in the competition.

2. 73 balls – Dhaka Dynamites vs Sylhet Strikers, Mirpur, 2017

Exactly a year after Rangpur Riders’ dominant win by 72 balls remaining, the Dhaka Dynamites crushed Sylhet Sixers by eight wickets and with 73 balls to spare to notch up a new BPL record during the 2017-18 edition of the competition. Notably, Shahid Afridi once again played the starring role, pulling off identical figures of 4-12, this time for the Dynamites.

Dynamites’ West Indies import Sunil Narine also struck thrice from his end to restrict the Sylhet Sixers to just 101-9 in 20 overs. In response, Dhaka Dynamites opener Evin Lewis bludgeoned 44* from 18 balls and Shahid Afridi whacked 37 from 17 as Shakib Al Hasan and co. comfortably cruised past their target in 7.5 overs.

Towards the fag end of the BPL 2024-25 season in Mirpur, Fortune Barishal humbled Dhaka Capital by nine wickets and 81 balls intact in the innings. Batting first, the Dhaka Capital folded up for just 73 in 15.3 overs courtesy of tight three-wicket hauls from Mohammad Nabi, Tanvir Islam and Faheem Ashraf.

As it happened, Fortune Barishal number three Dawid Malan blasted 37* in just 16 balls with five fours and two sixes to further strangulate Dhaka Capital in the run-chase. For conceding just two runs for his three wickets, Tanvir bagged the ‘Player of the Match’ award after the game.
