As of IPL 2025, Sam Curran is associated with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He entered the mega auction pool in the all-rounder category. While his bid started at a base price of INR 2 crore, CSK fetched him for INR 2.40 crore as LSG pulled out after the first round.

He made his debut in the IPL in 2019 with Kings XI Punjab (now known as Punjab Kings). Next season, he found himself in the auction pool with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) purchasing him for a significant price of INR 5.5 crore.

However, due to lack of suitors, Curran was sold to CSK for a nominal price of INR 2.40 crore. Though LSG placed a bid on him, they bowed after the first round.

Sam Curran has always been a popular face in the IPL auction market. He made headlines as the most expensive overseas player in the 2019 auction with a salary of INR 7.2 crore. After being released by Punjab, CSK acquired Curran for INR 5.5 crore in 2020.
