Rinku Singh is 100% an Indian Premier League (IPL) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) find. He rose to stardom in the past seasons and quickly became a regular in the T20I setup, though he was unfortunately not picked for the World Cup squad.

However, Rinku Singh is one of India's most sought-after finishers, especially as Hardik Pandya struggles with fitness and form lately. After MS Dhoni, the finisher role in the Indian team was wide open, and Rinku Singh is expected to fill that gap.

This year, Rinku Singh didn’t have as much of a role compared to last season at KKR. This was mainly because the top order of KKR, including Phil Salt and Sunil Narine, were in excellent form, dominating most of the games.

Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer were also in fantastic form, so very rarely did Andre Russell and Rinku Singh need to bat.

Why Rinku sticks with 55 lacs of KKR?

With mega auctions on the horizon, many fans expect Rinku Singh to leave KKR for more money. He is currently earning just 55 lakhs at KKR. If he went to auction, he could fetch ten times or more that amount. When asked about this, Rinku's answer was very touching.

"55 Lakh is a lot of money for me, when I was a child, I felt that if I could get even 5-10 RS - now I am getting 55 Lakhs which is a lot, one should be happy whatever God gives, that is my thinking"- Rinku Singh said.

Loyalty and humility are qualities that sportsmen are expected to demonstrate, and Rinku Singh embodies both.

Having said that, if KKR decides to retain Rinku Singh - which is highly likely - ahead of IPL 2025's mega auction, then the prolific finisher would at least earn INR 6 crores.
