Cricket fans can’t stop buzzing about Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 13-year-old from Bihar who made history at the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah. Rajasthan Royals snapped up the young prodigy for a whopping Rs. 1.1 crore after a heated bidding war with Delhi Capitals. Vaibhav’s story is one for the ages, proving that dreams can come true no matter how young you are.

Who Is Vaibhav Suryavanshi? The Youngest IPL Player in History

At just 13 years and 243 days, Vaibhav is now the youngest player ever to be picked in the IPL auction. The Royals saw something special in Vaibhav and didn’t hold back. Fans can’t stop buzzing about the teenager who’s already breaking records before even stepping onto the IPL field.

This isn’t the first time Vaibhav has made headlines. Earlier this year, he became the youngest batter to score a century in a Youth Test match. Playing for India Under-19 against Australia, he smashed 104 off 62 balls. His century came in just 58 balls—the fastest by an Indian at the youth level and second-fastest in the world.

Ranji Debut At Just 12

If that wasn’t enough, Vaibhav made his Ranji Trophy debut last year at just 12 years and 284 days, playing for Bihar against Mumbai. He’s now one of the youngest ever to play in India’s premier First-Class tournament, beating the likes of Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar.

Vaibhav’s journey is also his father’s dream. His father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, always wanted to make it big in cricket but never got the chance. From working different jobs in Mumbai to cheering on in the field, he never gave up hope that his child would achieve what he couldn’t.

A Bright Future Awaits

Meanwhile, Vaibhav is already grabbing the limelight with his blistering batting and record-breaking feats. The Royals have trusted the budding cricketer and fans will be eager to see how he sets the stage alight. At just 13, Suryavanshi has a long road ahead, and it’s looking bright.
