His standout moment arrived in the UP T20 League 2025 with the Noida Super Kings, where the left-hander smashed 320 runs at a strike rate of 155.34, recording three fifties while consistently finishing innings with authority.

With the ball, his 8 wickets at an economy of 6.69 showcased his control, earning him the Emerging Player of the Season award at the end of the tournament.

U23 dominance and a breaking into the Ranji setup

His rise continued as he earned a first-class debut earlier this Ranji Trophy season against Odisha in Kanpur. Meanwhile, his U23 numbers in 2025 have been exceptional to say the least. He scored 255 runs at 135.63, including three fifties with the bat, and took 14 wickets in just five matches at an average of 17.85.

The quarterfinal game against Mumbai U23 became Prashant’s true statement performance, which demanded attention as he smashed 61 off 22 balls late in the innings and followed it up with 4 wickets, delivering a complete all-round performance that firmly pushed him back into senior T20 reckoning.

As a result of Prashant’s brilliant form in U23, he got the chance to be part of Uttar Pradesh side in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26, where he made immediate noise again.

In the second group game against Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, November 28, Prashant blasted 37 off 10 balls at the death against the likes of Auqib Nabi and Yudhvir Singh to take UP to a formidable total and later picked 3/20 with the ball, perfectly reflecting the dual-threat skillset team's desire.
