In the dead rubber third ODI between Pakistan and South Africa at the Wanderers, the hosts made a few changes to their side. The most noticeable change was the inclusion of 30-year-old Corbin Bosch, who made his international debut.

Bosch hogged the internet as he breathed fire against Pakistan in the 3rd ODI and was bowling consistently over 140 kmph. It made the fans curious as it is unusual for a player to debut at 30.

Guiding South Africa To Under-19 World Cup Win

Bosch rose to fame during his Under-19 days when he featured for Proteas in the 2014 U-19 World Cup. It is worth noting that he played under Aiden Markram's leadership in that edition and also bowled alongside Kagiso Rabada, who was his teammate.

It is worth noting that South Africa went on to win that World Cup, and Bosch had a major contribution. He was the player of the match in the finals and took a four-wicket haul against Pakistan, including the scalps of Saud Shakeel and Kamran Ghulam.

However, the World Cup success did no wonder for him as he was not selected for the Proteas senior side. Since then, he has consistently featuring in domestic tournaments and represented the Titans. He is also a star performer in SA20, where he play for Paarl Royals, It is his performance in the franchise leagues that got selectors' attention.

Lost Father At An Early Age

Bosch's father, Tertius Bosch, also represented South Africa in 1992 but passed away tragically aged 33 because of a rare illness. Thus, Corbin's debut not only puts him on the list of father-son duo to play international cricket, but also puts him under a lot of pressure.
