While Yuzvendra Chahal may no longer be in contention for the national team, his charisma and wit both on and off the field left a lasting impression, entertaining cricket fans worldwide. His charming personality and clever social media presence made him a fan favorite even when he was not featured in the playing XI.

In one of his most memorable off-field deeds, dating back to January 2020, Chahal humorously posed shirtless for a photo, showcasing his slender physique. This playful gesture prompted a wave of social media jests as users cheekily likened his build to that of the hulking WWE legend, The Rock.

His senior teammate Rohit Sharma also took note of one of such posts, and joined-in on the fun at the expense of his slim colleague.

When Rohit Sharma trolled Yuzvendra Chahal after series win

Back in January 2020, the Indian team hosted Australia for a three-match ODI series across Mumbai, Rajkot and Bengaluru. While the ‘Men in Blue’ lost the opening contest by 10 wickets, the Virat Kohli-led side fought back to hand out convincing defeats to their guests in the subsequent two matches to seal the series 2-1.

A day after India’s series win, senior opener Rohit Sharma took to his X (formerly Twitter) and shared a shirtless picture of his spin teammate Yuzvendra Chahal. The hilarious picture also featured WWE’s hulking figure The Rock wielding a similar pose, igniting hysterical response from the senior Indian batsman. In the caption, Sharma wrote:

"Best picture I saw today. India wins the series but someone else takes the headlines. Bravo!!"

Apart from pulling off such off-field antics, Yuzvendra Chahal has also proven himself to be a deadly spin exponent for India against opposition batters. Having made his international debut in June 2016, the cricketer has so far featured in 80 T20Is and 72 ODI matches for his country.

Chahal, however, played the last of his 72 ODIs back in January 2023 as he has been consistently sidelined from the squad in favor of Kuldeep Yadav and all-rounder Axar Patel.
