'If I Get His Wicket...,' Shakib Al Hasan Issues Warning For Virat Kohli

In the 17th game of the World Cup 2023, the hosts, India will be facing the Bangladesh team on the 19th of October in Pune. The last time these two teams met in an ODI which was during the Asia Cup 2023, the Bangladesh Tigers clinched victory over India. 

The Indian team is coming into this game with three wins in the three games. On the other hand, Bangladesh have won just one out of their first three games. Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh captain has praised one of the Indian batters and said he would love to get him out. 


Here's what Shakib Al Hasan said about the Indian batter:

"He (Virat Kohli) is a special batsman. Probably the best batsman in the modern era. I think I am lucky to get him out five times. If I get his wicket, of course, it will give me great pleasure."

While talking to Star Sports, the Bangladesh captain, Shakib mentioned Virat Kohli as the best batter of the modern era. Shakib is currently playing his fifth ODI World Cup, having seen the best batters in the world, he considers the Indian giant as the best in the modern era. 

He also said that he is lucky to get him out five times in international cricket and it would be great for him and the team if he can get him this time around as well. 

The Indian team also lost the bilateral series against Bangladesh last year and in the Asia Cup as well. Having seen a couple of upsets in the World Cup already, India would not want to let this game be an upset for them in this tournament.
