The scene was electrifying in Barbados after India pulled off a dramatic victory in a nail-biting T20 World Cup finals against South Africa. Amidst the jubilation, a touching moment unfolded when Jay Shah, BCCI secretary, warmly embraced an emotional Hardik Pandya with a tight hug.

The 2024 T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa had been a rollercoaster of emotions, with both teams fighting fiercely until the very last ball. 

India came back from the dead to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat to end the 11-year long ICC trophy wait. 

All-rounder Hardik Pandya played a crucial role by defending 16 runs off the final over, and after the final delivery, Hardik burst into tears recalling the hardships he went through in the past 6 months leading up to the T20 World Cup.
