Ranbir Kapoor To Play Virat Kohli In Biopic? Bollywood Star Makes Big Revelation

Bollywood has lately been investing in cricket-based stories and have dished out biopics on Indian cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and Mitali Raj, and India's World Cup-winning 1983 campaign, forcing fans to demand a biopic on current Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. 

Kohli, 35, has carried forward Indian cricket's rich-batting legacy and is fondly known around the world as King Kohli. Ahead of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 semi-final clash between India and New Zealand, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor opined on who could play the role of Kohli on the big screen if a biopic was ever made on the Indian batting maestro. 

Speaking to Star Sports, Kapoor , who went to promote his upcoming movie 'Animal' stated that Kohli himself is well-suited to star in his biopic. 

Here's what Kapoor said

 "If a Biopic is made on Virat Kohli, then he should play his role because he looks better than many actors & in terms of fitness as well."

Both Kapoor and Kohli share a cordial relation and are often seen facing each other during All-Stars Football matches, where Indian cricketers and Bollywood go-up against in charity games. 

Speaking about Kohli, the star batter is in the middle for India at Wankhede following the fall of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma's wicket. Sharma, along with Shubman Gill provided the hosts a brisk start, adding 71 runs in merely 7.2 overs.
