Ravindra Jadeja, who is known to be one of the best fielders in the world, dropped his first-ever international catch in his ODI debut game, which was against Sri Lanka. The Southpaw made his debut back in 2009 in the fifth ODI of the series at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

Jadeja is arguably the best fielder not only for India but in the whole cricketing world and is an actual three-dimensional player with his ability to score runs, pick wickets and save runs with his extraordinary on-field efforts. Whether it's his effortless catches or sharp direct hits, he is nothing short of a match-winner. When it comes to batting, he has turned into a consistent batter and even played a brilliant knock of 87 runs in the first Test of the ongoing series against England.

Who would have thought that India's best fielder once dropped a much easier catch compared with the kinds of he pulls off these days? But it must be the pressure and nervousness of playing his first international game.

India were fielding first in the fifth ODI of the series against Sri Lanka and Jadeja got the opportunity to make his international debut. On the bowling of Irfan Pathan, Jadeja was in his special fielding position at Point, Sanath Jayasuriya played a cut shot and Jadeja could not hold onto his first catch.

Ravindra Jadeja took no time to make amends and ran out Farvez Mahroof in the same game with his fiery throw. Also, the left-handed batter went on to make his debut a special one by smashing 60 runs, when the players like Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and Suresh Raina failed to contribute.
