Lucknow SuperGiants swashbuckler Nicholas Pooran was at his wittiest best ahead of his teams' all-important fixture against the Mumbai Indians at the Ekana Stadium on Tuesday night.

Ahead of the game, a video went viral where Pooran can be seen introducing his teammate, and Afghanistan seamer Naveen-ul-Haq as the "Mango Guy".

The backstory behind Naveen and mangoes goes back to the fast bowler's ugly altercation with the legendary Virat Kohli during the RCB vs LSG fixture earlier in the season.

Post that altercation, Kohli and Naveen have taken cheeky digs at each other via Instagram stories.

While Kohli cheered for the Gujarat Titans' cricketers during the latters' clash with Lucknow, Naveen returned by favour when he posted a picture of him enjoying mangoes after Kohli was dismissed for just 1 against the Mumbai Indians; a game RCB eventually went on to lose due to Suryakumar Yadav's masterclass.

Coming back to the game, Naveen was included by the LSG think-tank for the fixture against Mumbai Indians.

Naveen has featured in 6 games in IPL 2023, in which he has taken 7 wickets at 14 apiece and at an impressive economy rate of 6.12. He will look to make his presence felt against a power-packed MI batting unit on Tuesday night.
