Things might not have panned well with the ball for Punjab Kings at Mohali on Friday, but Arshdeep Singh secured an MS Dhoni-like moment for himself in the last over of the innings. Against Nicholas Pooran, the left-arm seamer bowled a beautiful delivery, on which the batter tried scooping but mistimed it to the keeper.

The whole team went up, but the umpire denied their appeal. Punjab Kings' keeper Jitesh Sharma and captain Shikhar Dhawan thought that the batter has nicked it to the stumper, but Arshdeep knew it all.

The seamer - with his hawkeye-like vision - saw the ball hitting Pooran's leg straight in front of the woods. And, he convinced the skipper to take a DRS review in no time.

After watching a couple of replays, the third umpire got convinced with the Punjab camp and asked the batter to walk back to his hut.

Earlier in the match, the silk-stocking Sam Curran also forced his captain to go upstairs with a DRS review, only to get embarrassed on the big screen.

Batting first at Mohali, LSG batters went berserk against the PBKS bowlers, smacking the second-highest IPL total. Lucknow went onto post 257-5, courtesy of blistering knocks from Kyle Mayers, Ayush Badoni, Pooran and Marcus Stoinis.

Defending their pride in the second innings, Punjab Kings have gotten to a flying start to their innings, with their score reading 70-2 after 7 overs. However, it seems they would end up fighting to squeeze out the losing difference in the end.
