Senior Pro Shikhar Dhawan returned to lead the Punjab Kings (PBKS) after an injury and announced the debut of young pacer Gurnoor Singh Brar. However, things didn't went in place for him as he tonked for runs all over the park with him conceding 42 runs in three overs.

All this led to him being replaced mid-innings by opening batter Prabhsimran Singh as impact player for rest of the match.

Gurnoor is a right-arm pacer who bowls decent pace and represents Punjab in domestic cricket. On his very first delivery, opponent's skipper KL Rahul almost lost his wicket but because of a dropped catch got a life.

Meanwhile, Prabhsimran has been in decent form with 159 runs from seven innings at a strike rate of 159.

Coming back to the Lucknow Super Giants have taken on the Punjab bowlers as after the completion of 10 overs, 128 were already on the board with two wickets down. Marcus Stoinis and Ayush Badoni were at the crease with their respective scores of 25 and 31.

Punjab won the toss and opted to bowl first on a wicket that has been excellent for batting and the decision seems to backfire as of writing.
